Technics SA-203 Stereo Receiver
Manufactured in Japan.
Technics SA-203 Stereo Receiver
Based on a Sanken hybrid amplifier module, it can deliver over 30 watts per channel to 4 ohms. Power output is monitored by a simple six-LED bar graph. I bought this unit in 1981 as a present to myself for surviving my first year as an engineer grad and have been using it ever since. Technicians should note that the designer situated the tone controls within the amplifier feedback loop. The Sanken module died after completing 30 years of service and a replacement was purchased locally for less than $20.
